I wanted to share a recent interview that I did with Uncommon Goods on their blog today. I am really proud of this interview, actually, because I think it does a great job of explaining my ideas and process for how I approach painting. You can find more of my prints for them here.
Painting is always a hard subject for me to explain whenever people ask me about it. I think it has a lot of do with the fact that I think visually about how I paint, so it always takes me a while to find the right words to explain what I love about this wonderful form of expression! Anyway, I think this interview should help people understand a bit more about my process in creating work and how I think about visual communication.
By the by, come check out my second watercolor tutorial on Alison's blog today! Don't forget to use the discount code for my shop at the end of those tutorials! I must admit that I loved watching Bob Ross when I was younger, and doing these tutorials makes me feel like I'm subconsciously channeling my own Bob Ross! There's an Instagram video you can see here where I can just hear him saying "swish swish" as I paint the trees...
Have a great Tuesday afternoon!
