Grass Sway No. 1 Art Print
Inspired by Post-Impressionist painters, Yao wanted to capture the movement of a wind-swept grassland using strokes and color. The textures of the painted grass are striking against the color-washed sky. This painting was made with watercolor and gouache.
Printed In-House: This reproduction of Yao’s original painting is printed and trimmed in Yao's art studio. This helps us perfect the coloration and quality of each print. Email for a custom size or orientation! Visit Product Info for more details.

finishing touches!
After Yao has taken the finished watercolor painting off of her stretcher board, it is time to take off the edging tape- this is often the most exciting part of her finishing process! It is a little bit like opening a new present on Christmas day- it is very satisfying to her to see the finished painting with its natural white edges!
Painter’s tape is always used in her work where the painting goes to the edge- this allows her paintings to have its own finished border.
